The Galesburg Historical Society presents their annual Chocolate Festival featuring homemade and commercially made chocolate treats.  It is an endless buffet of tortes, trifles, cheesecake, brownies, fudge, cookies, cakes, pies, candies, chocolate punch and much more all with the main ingredient of CHOCOLATE!!   Definately a chocolate lover's dream.  Chocolate art contest, games, prizes, live entertainment, fun for the entire family.  Being held on the third floor of the Galesburg Antiques Mall, please use the elevator.  There will be a Chocolate Fountain!

9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the Carl Sandburg College Main Campus in Galesburg.

Participants may choose to attend up to five classes from more than 60 that will be offered. Class topics include food, antiques, travel, crafts, computer skills, exercise, gardening and animals. Cost is $25 and includes lunch. A materials fee may be charged in some classes.

We will be teaching a class titled DESSERT ALCHEMY for this year's class day.  Learn to create and transform treats for the next gathering with basic steps anyone can learn. Topics include basic science behind baking, characteristics of ingredients and basic decorating techniques to create a variety of baked goods. Take cupcakes created in class home with you.  Class time: 11-11:50am

Teachers can earn up to five CPDU credits by attending. Scholarships are available for Knox County 4-H members. Pre-registration is required. Registration forms are available in the program booklets that are offered at the Galesburg Public Library, township libraries, CSC, Galesburg Visitor’s Bureau, Farm Bureau Office and the U of I Extension Center or by calling 483-6169.
